Most of our climbing is on sandstone: To prevent erosion, please do not climb sandstone within 24 hours of rain. If the ground is wet, the rock is wet! 

 


 

Recommended Climbing Crags 

Wall Street 

Difficulty Rating: 5.4 to 5.12, sport, mixed, and trad 

Navajo sandstone with roadside (shoulder of the highway) belaying and excellent access from Moab with well over a hundred climbs from 5.4 TRs to 5.12, mixed sport and trad. An excellent area to get a feel for climbing sandstone and enjoying an afternoon. 

 

Ice Cream Parlor 

Difficulty Rating: 5.5 to 5.12 sport, mixed, and trad 

Fun climbing on excellent wingate sandstone in one of the most beautiful canyons in the area. 

 

Big Bend 

Difficulty Rating: V2 to V14

118 climbs in a small bouldering field located off Highway 128. 

 


 

Recommended Canyoneering Routes

Morning Glory Natural Bridge

The most popular canyoneering route visitors can explore during their trip to Moab is to and through Morning Glory Natural Bridge, which is located at the end of Grandstaff Canyon. Adventurers will start in Sand Flats Recreation Area, then hike through a series of sandstone fins before starting a series of rappels.
