Moab to Arches Shuttle
Moab is a big place, but it can feel crowded when cars and RVs visit each day.
To help reduce traffic congestion and provide access to Arches for everyone, Arches National Park uses an optional free shuttle system. The shuttle takes you to two of the most visited spots in the park: Delicate Arch and The Windows. And if you’re taking a shuttle from town, you can skip the entrance line.
The Shuttle is Optional
You can still drive your car into Arches National Park. The shuttle helps to alleviate congestion, and does not require a reservation. If you're taking a shuttle into the park from Moab, you can skip the entrance line.
How the Shuttle System Works
If you’re planning to visit Delicate Arch or The Windows, consider taking the Arches Shuttle. Parking is limited in Arches, and parking areas can fill by the early morning. You can board the shuttle at the Arches Visitor Center.
You can also take the Moab Shuttle to the Visitor Center from town. There are four stops. You can park your car to catch the shuttle at Lions Park or at a parking lot along Emma Boulevard, across the street from the Rock Shop. You can walk to stops at the Moab Information Center and at the Maverick gas station south of town, but you won’t be able to park at these two stops.
The shuttle is free, but you must purchase a National Park pass before you board the shuttle. Your driver will check your pass upon boarding. Purchase your pass online or at the Moab Information Center.
Shuttles start running at 8 a.m., operating every 15 to 30 minutes throughout the day. Keep an eye on the clock: the last shuttle from the Delicate Arch trailhead leaves at 4:05 p.m., and the final departure from the Arches visitor center back to town is at 5:10 p.m. Plan accordingly to avoid missing the last ride!

Shuttles leave every few minutes. You can enter and exit the shuttle at any open stop. When boarding, the shuttle will only stop if someone is waiting at a stop.

The shuttle in Arches National Park runs between the Visitor Center, The Windows, and Delicate Arch. You can park at the Visitor Center to ride the shuttle.
What if I miss the last shuttle or the last shuttle is full?
Don't wait too long to catch a shuttle! If you miss the last shuttle or the last shuttle is full, you cannot ride the shuttle back to your vehicle. The last Arches Shuttle back to the Visitor Center leaves at 4:05 p.m. The last Moab Shuttle from the Visitor Center back to town leaves at 5:10 p.m.
