Don’t let the name fool you: all types of off-road-capable vehicles are welcome!

In the spring of 1967, the Chamber of Commerce in Moab, Utah, hosted a small offroading event to boost tourism. The event, which took place in a single day, consisted of a group Jeep ride exploring the Behind the Rocks Trail.

Today, that event—the “Easter Jeep Safari”—is now run by the Red Rock 4 Wheelers, a local off-roading group. It’s grown into a nine-day extravaganza, attended by thousands of visitors and regional locals alike. In 2026, Easter Jeep Safari participants will have the opportunity to explore nearly 40 trails in and around Moab’s backcountry on group rides led by experts.

While trail riding is most of the fun, the event will also include a vendor expo and Jeep-branded expo in town (plan to attend the Jeep expo to get a look at Jeep’s concept vehicles). Admission to both expos is free—the vendor expo runs at the Old Spanish Trail Arena on Thursday, April 2 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday, April 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the Jeep expo will set up in the Walker Drug parking lot that weekend.
