» Arches timed entry reservations are not in effect. The Arches visitor center is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Canyonlands visitor centers at Island in the Sky and the Needles are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Difficulty:
Intermediate with a few advanced moves. Rough sandstone stretches, steep swooping turns and some moderately tight turns to cross over sandstone benches.
Type of Ride:
Starts off of Whiptail with a fast descent toward the cliff. Ledges and switchbacks keep it interesting as you glance toward the looming cliff of Shafer. Sandstone is rough but offer great traction for the short climbs.
