Longbow Arch Trail

Fun trail atop slickrock with amazing views of the Colorado River, the Behind the Rocks Wilderness Area, the La Sal Mountains, and—at the end—the 60 foot Longbow Arch. This trail requires some scrambling and route finding, including a ladder section that may feel exposed to some users. It’s easy to make an afternoon of hiking this trail and exploring the nearby dinosaur tracks and petroglyphs. 

This is also a popular zone for off-roaders looking to try the Poison Spider Mesa trail. Hikers will only overlap with motorized users at the very beginning of the Longbow Arch trail. 

Visitors looking to rock climb while in Moab will also pass by the popular Wall Street Area on their way to this trailhead. Bring your climbing equipment!
