Holiday lights, craft fairs, and more in Moab from December 4-6
I like to mark the holiday season in Moab in the first weekend of December, when Moab holiday events collide: there are always craft shows, in-town holiday lights, a holiday parade and tree lighting, and Christmas tree permits become available in the nearby national forest.
The weekend has a small town holiday feel, so much like a Hallmark movie that I almost expect a New York City executive career woman to come through and announce that she’s found the true meaning of Christmas while atop a parade float. If you’re looking for a quieter start to the holiday season, consider joining Moab locals for these beloved events!
Mark your calendars for the first weekend of December, to join Moabites for these festive events and sales:
Thursday, December 4 - New event!
Kick off the holiday season Moab style, surrounded by red rocks, crisp desert air, and the Colorado River. On Thursday, December 4th, families are invited to gather at the bridge for a uniquely Moab celebration.
-
Bring the kids at 5:30 p.m. for hot cocoa, cookies, and photos with Santa at the Lions Park entrance of the bridge.

At 6:00 p.m., watch as the bridge comes to life! Let’s welcome the season together with high-desert magic and create memories your family will remember.
