Desolation Canyon Musical Raft Trip

June 13 @ 5:00 pm - June 17 @ 8:00 pm

Explore Desolation Canyon, the only river canyon registered as a National Historic Landmark, with river historian and naturalist John Weisheit, outfitted by Sheri Griffith River Expeditions.

Four master musicians join the adventure and perform daily concerts (click the Artists & Program tab above for more information).

National Geographic says “there is nothing at all desolate about this canyon—it is instead a paradise.”

Together, we’ll traverse 84 miles of the Green River, including 50 named rapids (Class I-III), and experience the largest Wilderness Study Area and one of the most remote areas in the lower United States—an area virtually unchanged since explored by John Wesley Powell in 1869.

Our trip starts with a scenic flight to the boat launch. As we make our way back to Moab, we’ll visit incredible rock art, fossils, ancient ruins, cowboy artifacts and natural features. Our expert guides set up camp and cook scrumptious meals in comfortable riverside sites.

Deeper than the Grand Canyon in parts, Desolation Canyon should be on every adventurer’s bucket list!

We hope you’ll join us.
